Tiki Island Chapel
Dr. C.O. Magee, Jr., Pastor

Greetings to New Residents from Tiki Island Chapel

On behalf of the officers and members of Tiki Island Chapel, I would like to extend to you the warmest of welcomes.

Tiki Island Chapel is a member of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. but since its inception, has always been dedicated to being interdenominational. We have members from many denominations who feel right at home.

Our dress is very casual. Shorts and casual wear is the "dress for the day". Most attendees wear what we call the "Tiki Tux" (shorts and shirt).

Our worship will vary from very informal to somewhat formal, although we are never even close to "high church". The only thing "high" about our church is its elevation on pilings.

We sing hymns from different traditions, and do some hymns on the guitar and/or the piano. We will also vary the method we celebrate the Lord's Supper. Our Communion is open to all Christians and we baptize either by sprinkling or immersion when requested.

Ten percent of our budget goes to benevolent causes, both locally and internationally. We have sent folks to Mexico to build medical clinics or schools as well as contribute money to the trip. We sponsor a "Prayer Chain" for everyone on the island and friends of residents as well. We pray for all people.

We have special worship services on Christmas Eve and an Easter Sunrise service.

You are invited to come by sometime for worship or just give me a call when convenient. Our Sunday Worship is at 9:00 a.m.

Again, Welcome to Tiki Island. We hope you enjoy this beautiful and friendly place and look forward to seeing you soon.
